Logistics Center and Automated Production Line of Intersocks d.o.o.
Intersocks d.o.o. will carry out an investment project titled "Logistics Center and Automated Production Line of Intersocks d.o.o." between the years 2023 and 2025. The project has been awarded a subsidy as part of the Public Call for Promoting Large Investments for Increased Productivity and Competitiveness in the Republic of Slovenia.
The objective of the investment project is to establish a central logistics center, which includes the construction of a high-rack automated warehouse equipped with state-of-the-art information control systems, the installation of a new production line for knitting new sock models, and the enhancement of the existing ERP system.
The purpose of this investment project is to construct a high-rack warehouse where products and semi-finished goods will be stored, implement a new Warehouse Management System (WMS) for warehouse control, upgrade the existing ERP system for managing core business processes, and set up a new production line for sock knitting with 30 new knitting machines. With the investment in the new automated knitting line, the production of new, more sophisticated products with fewer defects and waste will be possible. The establishment of a robotic warehouse and optimization of the logistics process will enable the company to offer new storage and goods handling services in one place, bringing new benefits to both the company and its customers.
The implementation of this investment project aligns with the fundamental goal of Intersocks d.o.o. Kočevje, which is to establish a logistics center and modernize sock production. The investment provides the opportunity to diversify the company's production into new, technically advanced products they have not produced before, focus on new services related to storage and distribution, and transform processes, including production, logistics, and sales, with the establishment of online sales.
The total investment will amount to EUR 10,449,789. The financial structure foresees that Intersocks d.o.o. Kočevje will finance the investment through non-refundable funds from JR INVEST2022-NOO (EUR 3,064,437) as well as using its own resources. The entire investment will be financed between the years 2023 and 2025.
